History of Olton Jubilee Park
The park opened as the Olton Jubilee Recreation Ground in May 1935 to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V by the then Solihull Urban District Council. Gates were added in May 1937 to commemorate the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother). Still known at the time as Olton Recreation Ground.
